The CSR commitments made by the Group have now been rewarded: Bontaz France has been awarded an\u00a0EcoVadis\u00a0gold medal following the\u00a0 evaluation. This gold medal is symbolic of Bontaz’s strong commitment to sustainable development.<\/p>\n

Last year, Bontaz France was awarded a silver medal. This award shows a clear progression since\u00a0Bontaz joins the top 5% of the 50,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis this year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This result demonstrates a\u00a0strong CSR ambition<\/strong>\u00a0in the service of the Group’s transformation, which is reflected in the\u00a0CSR policy called IMPACT<\/strong>. It is the result of a joint effort at all levels of the company and more particularly at the level of the Procurements, IT\/IS, Quality HSE and Human Resources departments, which were heavily involved throughout this project.<\/p>\n

This certification is very important because it allows the Group to continue its collaboration with certain strategic manufacturers who now require\u00a0a high level of compliance on CSR issues<\/strong>. Bontaz can thus fully meet these requirements.<\/p>\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\n\n

A GOLD MEDAL FOR BONTAZ FRANCE<\/h2>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

The EcoVadis 2021 assessment awarded the\u00a0gold medal<\/strong>\u00a0to Bontaz France. It corresponds to an “Advanced CSR Performance<\/strong>” and is awarded to companies that obtain an overall score higher than 65\/100.<\/p>\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\n\n

CSR AT BONTAZ: EXCELLENCE AT AN INTERNATIONAL LEVEL<\/h2>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

The CSR approach only makes sense if it is carried out at Group level. This is why these issues are deployed at the international level under the aegis of the\u00a0United Nations Global Compact<\/strong>, of which Bontaz is a member.<\/p>\n

While Bontaz France is currently in the spotlight, a number of initiatives will be implemented globally, in each of the subsidiaries, as part of the\u00a0B1 ambition for 2030<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0IMPACT policy<\/strong>, which embodies the Group’s responsible strategy.<\/p>\n

One example is\u00a0Bontaz India<\/strong>. It was one of the first subsidiaries to be assessed in 2020 and was awarded a\u00a0bronze medal<\/strong>. This result is very promising and underlines the commitment of the Indian subsidiary.<\/p>\n

These efforts must of course be maintained in the perspective of the\u00a0Sustainable Development Goals<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What is EcoVadis?<\/h3>\n

EcoVadis is an independent\u00a0global CSR\u00a0<\/strong>(Corporate Social Responsibility)\u00a0performance assessment<\/strong>\u00a0organisation used by 70% of CAC40 companies.
\nThe objective of the EcoVadis methodology is to assess the quality of a company’s CSR management system through its policies, actions and results. The global assessment examines 21 criteria and 4 main themes: Environmental, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement impacts.<\/p>\n
